Their fight for each other was so real. And their attraction as well. You felt the love in both of them all the time.
When a film carries that much emotion, it's kind of hard not to get involved with the other person. They did hook up in real life. Unfortunately they broke up after 3 years.
The series had them both still working together till it completed.
Their professionalism allowed the show to continue without anyone noticing any difference in their relationship.
